The 13 dimensions of the GoDoc score

The GoDoc score aggregates patient responses across 13 dimensions, weighted by clinical importance. Here is what each dimension measures:

Correct Diagnosis (highest weight)

Did the physician arrive at the correct diagnosis? This is the single most clinically important dimension. A high score here matters more than any other.

Correct Treatment

Was the prescribed treatment appropriate and effective? This captures whether the doctor not only diagnosed correctly but also prescribed the right course of action.

Patient Outcome

How did the patient feel after treatment? This is a self-reported outcome measure — not a clinical endpoint, but a meaningful signal of treatment effectiveness.

Bedside Manner

Was the physician empathetic, respectful, and attentive? Research consistently shows that physicians with better bedside manner have better patient adherence to treatment plans.

Clear Instructions

Did the physician clearly explain the diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps? A doctor who rushes through explanations often leaves patients confused and less likely to follow through.

Other dimensions

The remaining dimensions — easy appointment scheduling, helpful staff, on-time appointments, cleanliness, prevention and wellness counseling, and recommendation likelihood — round out the picture of the total care experience.

How to use the breakdown

If you have a chronic condition, prioritize Correct Diagnosis and Correct Treatment. If you value a good experience and clear communication, look closely at Bedside Manner and Clear Instructions. The breakdown lets you weight what matters to you.
